Remember, I do not recommend getting Windows 8 on a computer, laptop or tablet, however many of you have already. You can check on my adventures here on this site.

Just an update, I installed Windows 8.1 on both computers I have with Windows 8. When I did, I hoped it would fix some of my issues (check out the issues on www.TheWeeklyGeek.com). Unfortunately it did not solve any. Fortunately it only broke my scanner software. I had to reinstall the entire multifunction software (after uninstalling it) then the scanner worked. No new software or version, just reinstalling the version I already had downloaded.

So if you have or need to install 8.1 (I wonder why they did not call it a “service pack” or “power pack”?) go for it! Let me know how it went once you are done.
